Welcome to Simply Bosnian

My name is Anesa. I am a Bosnian woman living abroad, deeply connected to my roots in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Like many in the diaspora, I carry home with me - in memories, in language, in food, and in the small traditions that shape everyday life.

Raising my children away from the country I grew up in made me more aware of how easily culture can fade if it isn’t intentionally preserved. I wanted to hold onto what shaped me, not in a nostalgic way, but in a living, honest one - something real that could be passed on.

Simply Bosnian grew out of that desire.

Simply Bosnian is a space created to preserve and share Bosnian culture through storytelling, tradition, and everyday rituals. Rooted in Bosnia and Herzegovina and shaped by life lived beyond its borders, it reflects the quiet moments that define belonging.

Over time, Simply Bosnian naturally expanded into tangible creations. The scarves, tote bags, and accessories are inspired by my own photographs, Bosnian patterns, and cultural symbols I grew up with. Each piece begins with a story and is designed to be part of everyday life.

These are not trend-driven items. They are made to be worn, carried, and lived with - objects that quietly express identity and connection. Every design is created with care, with the intention that it becomes something familiar and meaningful in your daily routine.
